PAGEANT ENTRY FEE HELP AVAILABLE
this week.

If you know a contestant wanting to enter the Nov. 3 pageant but needing some help with entry fee, have her email the completed entry form from www.MissLongBeach.com or www.MissSouthernCalifornia.com to director Justin@JustinRudd.com by this Sunday afternoon. Include a note about how much assistance is needed.  Current regular rate is $200, and rate goes to $300 on Sunday.

2013 pageant titleholders
 
Miss Long Beach

- Each titleholder will receive a $3,000 appearance contract. 

This is a prestigious, stylish event that will crown "Southern California Cities" and "Long Beach" titleholders in four divisions:
- Little Miss (ages 6-10)
- Teen (ages 13-18)
- Miss (ages 19-30)
- Mrs. (age 21+, married)

The Little Miss/Teen/Miss/Mrs. Long Beach and Southern California Cities pageants will take place Sun., Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. at The Grand, 4101 E. Willow St., Long Beach. This year, there will be no swimsuit category for the Mrs. division. There are no required meetings or rehearsals before pageant day. There is no opening number, no choreograph and no talent competition.

The pageant welcomes non-conventional contestants, including unusual hair style/color, piercings, and tattoos. There are no height, weight or sexual orientation requirements. As in previous years, Little Miss delegates may not wear makeup and may not enhance themselves with false teeth, lashes, hair extensions, spray tans, etc. This is a "natural" Little Miss pageant. 

"Southern California Cities" contestants must live, work, attend school, or regularly volunteer or attend a place of worship regularly in Southern California. "Long Beach" contestants must live, work, attend school, or regularly volunteer (or attend a place of worship regularly) in Long Beach and/or be enrolled in the Long Beach Unified School District. "Long Beach" delegates are eligible to receive the "Long Beach" and "Southern California Cities" titles. 

ELEMENTS OF COMPETITION
personal interview, 25%; evening wear (party dress for Little Miss), 25%; swimwear for teen and miss only (sarongs are optional), 25%; casual wear for Little Miss and Mrs. only, 25%. The remaining 25% of each preliminary score will come from pageant staff and/or former titleholders in attendance.

APPEARANCE CONTRACT: Each of the eight new titleholders will be awarded a $3,000 appearance contract with Justin Rudd's nonprofit Community Action Team (CAT). About 32 yearly appearance opportunities include the monthly "30-Minute Beach Cleanup", the "Long Beach Turkey Trot", the "Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade", "Operation Santa Paws", the "Bulldog Beauty Contest", and the "National Adult Spelling Bee."

The pageant is hosted and directed by Long Beach community advocate Justin Rudd, a 23-year pageant coach, director, judge.
